Princess Royal at 50th Anniversary

The Princess Royal joined in to celebrate a successful year of 50th anniversary celebrations for the music icon Marshall Amplification.

In the year of the brand celebrating their 50th anniversary with a string of celebrations HRH visited Marshall’s factory in December to congratulate the brand on their long-standing success in British manufacturing.

The partying included a concert at Wembley, a European tour of Marshall’s first ever ‘amp’, and the launch of a commemorative board game, and whisk.

The company was founded by Jim Marshall OBE in 1962 in Hanwell, London, and moved to Bletchley, Milton Keynes in 1967 where it still has a manufacturing base employing 160 people and producing in excess of 4,000 units a month distributed across the world through an 80 strong distributor base.
