Rattle and shake in the woods
If you go down to the woods this summer, don’t be surprised to see Blondie performing their hits like ‘Heart Of Glass’, ‘Sunday Girl’, ‘Atomic’, ‘Call Me’, ‘The Tide Is High’ and ‘Maria’.
Blondie, fronted by the now iconic Deborah Harry, appear in a series of concerts across the UK in June and July as part of a Forestry Commission programme under which income from ticket sales is spent onimproving forests for people and wildlife.
“The Forest Live gigs are renowned for their relaxed atmosphere,” said Commission spokesman James Delanoy.
“It is an independent programme organised by the Commission to bring music to new audiences without commercial branding or sponsorship.”
The Lightning Seeds will be special guests each evening, performing an acoustic set of their hits like ‘Pure’, ‘Lucky You’ and ‘Change’.
